Our motto is “Loving Care & Fresh Air” and our wonderful rural location ensures we have no problems achieving our aim!
Both Farm View and Meadow View are set in extensive gardens and we utilise our space to the maximum.
The Farm View garden is divided into two separate areas. The Baby Garden is secure and shady and the majority of parents are very keen for their children to have their naps in prams in the fresh air. The remainder of the garden includes a sheltered area with slides and tunnels, a wooden play area, playhouses, sandpits and digging patches, and a large grassy space for games and for playing with the many toys. We also have a vegetable patch complete with scarecrow, where the children grow seeds and plants, and pick and eat the fruits of their labours.
The Meadow View garden again has a large assortment of outdoor play equipment and toys but also incorporates equipment aimed at the slightly older child, such as a a weather box, weaving area, music line and mini-beast area.
Children play outside every day (weather permitting) and our enterprising nurses always keep them fully occupied with games and activities.
Children also participate in physical activity indoors. These tend to be unstructured at Farm View. At Meadow View we include balancing, and music and movement, keeping them in good stead for PE at “big school”.
